Blackholing is a mechanism to fight massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. DDoS attacks aim to congest the physical connection between your router and DE-CIX.
To help you to mitigate the effects of DDoS attacks against your networks, DE-CIX offers blackholing in different variants.
