Delete VirtualPNI configurations

Joseph Thorwest Updated by Joseph Thorwest

This article provides a step-by-step guide for deleting the configurations of your VirtualPNI service via our portal — for both Access ↔ Access and Access ↔ Cloud ROUTER connections.

This article does not cover the deletion of the VirtualPNI service itself. To do that, click here.

Deleting a configuration cannot be undone. Traffic on the affected side is interrupted while provisioning completes. To change a configuration, delete it and create a new one — see Change VirtualPNI configurations.

Open the service configuration

These steps are the same for both connection types.

  1. Log in to our portal and click on the Services tab.
  2. Locate the service for which you want to delete the configuration. Use the filtering option on the right to narrow your search.
  3. Click on the pencil button for editing.
  4. Click again on Edit.
  5. Scroll down to the Configuration section, then continue with the section below that matches your connection type.

Delete an Access ↔ Access configuration

On a VirtualPNI to a third-party provider you can only delete your own side. The partner's side is marked third party – unaffected and stays visible while your removal is processed.
  1. On the side you want to delete, click Remove A-Side or Remove B-Side.
  1. In the dialog, review the effect — the selected side is removed while the other side stays unaffected. This action cannot be undone.
  2. Type DELETE to confirm, then click Remove A-Side / Remove B-Side.

The configuration is queued for removal and cannot be restored. The side shows Removal in progress while provisioning completes.

Delete an Access ↔ Cloud ROUTER configuration

  1. Delete the desired configurations by clicking Delete, and confirm.

You successfully requested a deletion for your VirtualPNI configuration.
