Service Insights Tutorial - General Informations

This article outlines how to access our Service Insight system and introduces some basic features.

 

How to locate Insights analytics?

  1. Log in to the DE-CIX Customer Portal (https://portal.de-cix.net/) using your personal account.
  2. Click on the Insights tab in the top menu. This will offer you all available analytics sections. We will come back to the sections in the upcoming tutorials.

 

How does the filter dependency work?

  • Filters are applied top to bottom.
  • For example, if you select Filter 1 first, Filter 2 will update based on that choice.
  • If you start with Filter 2Filter 1 will not be affected. (Note: This is a current technical limitation.)
  • It is also possible to select multiple filters. (Note: In rare cases it is not allowed)

 

What does "Filter out of scope" mean on the dashboards?

  • If a filter doesn't apply to the current dashboard tab, it is hidden and labeled "out of scope".
  • Only relevant filters are shown by default—no extra clicks required.

 

Apply Filter button?

  • The filter section has an Apply Filter button.
  • When you change any filter, the Apply Filter button will turn petrol blue. This indicates that changes need to be applied. Click it to update the view.
