Upgrade / downgrade a DirectCLOUD service for IBM

This article provides a step-by-step guide for upgrading or downgrading the capacity of one of your services. It shows you how to navigate the portal, select your desired capacity, and place your order in a few easy steps.

Guide

  1. Visit our self-service portal.
  2. Select Take me there under Config & Upgrade your Service.
  3. Go to your desired service and click on Edit.
    A new window opens, displaying your chosen service.
  4. Click on Edit again.
  5. Click on upgrade/downgrade.
  6. Use the slider to select your desired capacity. Directly below it displays your Monthly Recurring Costs (MRC).
  7. Click on view summary.
  8. Review your data and order details.
  9. Click on Order.
    Now the order is processing. This can take a few seconds. Additionally, you receive an email with the order confirmation.
  10. Click on Done.
    You successfully changed the capacity for your service on the DE-CIX side.
    Now you need to accept the connection on the side of IBM.
  11. Visit your IBM Cloud console and open the Direct Link page.
  12. Locate the connection you want to upgrade and click Review.
  13. Review your specifications and click Accept.

You successfully changed the capacity of your DirectCLOUD service.
