Delete a DirectCLOUD service for AWS

This article provides a step-by-step guide for deleting your DirectCLOUD service for AWS via our portal.

This article does not cover the deletion of single configurations of the service. To do that, click here.

Prerequisites

Prior to deleting a DE-CIX hosted connection to AWS, you must first remove any virtual interfaces linked to that connection.

Please note: If you do not complete this step first, you will be unable to delete the service through our portal.

Guide

This section provides the guide for only canceling and deprovisioning the DE-CIX side of your DirectCLOUD service via our portal.

Important: If you wish to cancel your service only without an immediate deprovisioning, DO NOT follow this guide. In this case contact your sales representative directly at: sales@de-cix.net.
  1. Log in to our portal and click on the Services tab.
  2. Locate the service you want to delete. Use the filtering option on the right to narrow your search.
  3. Click on the pencil button for editing.
  4. Click on Cancel & Deprovision.
  5. Carefully read the displayed information. Type "DELETE" in the provided field and click Proceed.
    Please note: This step leads to the cancellation and deprovisioning of the service.

You successfully deleted your DirectCLOUD service. Note that deprovisioning and cancellation of the service may take a few minutes to complete.
